Yashpreet’s Story

Yashpreet Kaur grew up in India, spending much of her childhood in Ambala. She moved to Beijing, China in 2012 to pursue her passion for the Chinese language. She then spent the following years studying and working in Shanghai.

Jagmeet’s Story

Jagmeet Singh was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and spent much of his life in Petaling Jaya. He pursued his interest in finance and is now working in a bank in Malaysia. He is an avid fan of the Liverpool Football Club.

Our Relationship

We met in 2019 in Malaysia, after a naturally developed friendship over Facebook. The Covid-19 pandemic coincided with our growing feelings for each other. With Jagmeet’s trip to Shanghai getting canceled, a 29 month long distance relationship brought us closer together.
